Episode #211 - Sunny Anderson, Candyss Bryant

October 02, 2012

This week on You Served Radio we'll welcome Sunny Anderson of the Food Network and Candyss Bryant of Candyss and Associates.   Growing up traveling the world as an Army brat, Sunny Anderson indulged in many local cuisines. When Sunny joined the Air Force, she continued her culinary world travels and also discovered a desire to explore music, becoming an award-winning radio host and news reporter. She made her debut on Food Network in 2005 as a special guest on Emeril Live, and in 2008 launched her own daytime show Cooking For Real.   Sunny Anderson hits the road to track down the unsung heroes of the American culinary world - home cooks.   Sunny travels across the country to discover the inspirational stories of the people behind the recipes while learning a few tips and tricks of her own in a new daytime series Home Made in America with Sunny Anderson premiering Saturday, October 6th at 9:30am ET/PT on Food Network.   Candyss Bryant has more than twelve years of experience in nonprofit development and management as both a professional and volunteer.   Bryant began her professional career in Columbus, Georgia, as a marketing director for a start-up Women’s Professional Fastpitch Softball League. While working full-time positions with the National Infantry Association, Columbus State University and Goodwill Industries, she began independently consulting in 1999 and has since developed Candyss and Associates, LLC.   Bryant currently serves on the governing board of Gallant Few, a charitable nonprofit organization with the mission to assist solider reintegration efforts and was recently granted the honor to tandem jump with the Army’s Golden Knights.
