If not, you can click the buttons below to subscribe: Main Topic: My Experience at the LD Micro Conference and Another Stealthy Wealthy StoryThe LD Micro conference was held in Bel Aire, California this week June 4th,5th, and 6th. Given that the venue was a mere $8 Uber ride away from my home in Los Angeles, it's surprising this was the first year I attended the conference. Sure glad I did!The event was a put on by Chris Lahiji and his excellent staff who kept the agenda moving along. During the three-day event, over 200 companies presented and there were more than 2,300 one on one meetings with company management teams. The value of the conference is tremendous and makes the sport of finding and vetting microcap companies so much more efficient by bringing everyone together. Management can pitch their companies and hold one on one meetings with analysts and investors. It's efficient for the analysts and investors as well because they can interview management teams all in one place, without having to travel around everywhere.Just being around and engaging in various conversations proved to be extremely helpful and fruitful. I met a number of people who imparted wisdom to me over those three days, and met a few youngsters that I hopefully was able to impact in a positive way.If you are interested in learning about microcaps, you should definitely check the conference out. Special thanks to Chris for acommodating me at the last minute. The rest of the episode involves another of the "Stealthy Wealthy." This class of people could also be called the "Quiet Compounders." Anne Scheiber died in 1995 at the age of 101 with a fortune of $22mm dollars to her name. Her story is fascinating and is worth the time to read it.For some additional details, here is another article that goes more in-depth about Anne Scheiber's life.Thoughts on this podcast?
