Episode 48: Deadbeat Darling

September 19, 2012

New York-based, genre-bending band Deadbeat Darling blend elements of rock, surf, dub and more, and their unique and fun sound has created a dedicated and rabid following both in the U.S. and across the pond. Joseph, Evan, Ian and Mo of Deadbeat Darling joined host Daniel, during their time in Austin in August, for a down-to-earth and quite informative interview.

During the episode, the guys discuss recording their 2012 album, The Angel's Share with renowned producer Ken Nelson and tell some pretty entertaining stories about their time in Wales. Seriously, the end of this interview is especially enlightening, as the guys explain why one member broke into a bar. You just have to hear the story. Additionally, find out which band member has previous ballet experience and which one  competed in roller skating. Also, discover what TV show the people of Wales equate all Americans with. It's quite disturbing. There's lots of good stuff here, including the band answering your fan questions. So, check out Episode 48!

These guys are seriously good and you'll get to hear a few songs on the episode. Watch the creeptastic, black-and-white video for "Surf India."

While you're on the vivogig iTunes podcast listening to Episode 48, check out the other interviews host Daniel has done with some incredible bands. Also, be sure to upload your photos of Deadbeat Darling or any other band to vivogig and share your concert experiences!
