Tuesdays 8am EST. ‘Pass It On’ - Bill Wilson’s biography, a tremendous read and opportunity to learn more about the Big Book. It is an intimate group and everybody is welcome.

AA 12 x 12 Step Six pages 67-68

Step Six is a preparation step. On 3 x 5 cards write down each character asset to offset the character defect you found in Step Four. We have lived for too long in self-condemnation with our character defects. Now, with God’s help and one another, we are going to try to live in our character assets. Look up the definition. Take a card every day and in your morning Quiet Time ask God how to work the chosen asset today.

Soul work

Stephanie suggests that every day we put on our Action Plan the question:
‘How can I encourage one other person today?’
[The person could be your sister, brother, husband, wife, colleague, friend, stranger, someone in the programme, etc.]
Encouragement is one of the greatest gifts we can give one another.

look up:
perverse
superiority
obliged
implication
perfection
ideals
encouragement

Self-righteous anger also can be very enjoyable. In a perverse way we can actually take satisfaction from the fact that many people annoy us, for it brings a comfortable feeling of superiority.
Are you harbouring self-righteous anger towards anybody?

2. Are you taking satisfaction that many people annoy you?

3. Are you unconsciously (or even consciously) living with an attitude of superiority because you have got recovery, are doing the Big Book, etc?

4. Where do you stand in relation to gossip?

5. Where are you with taking your comfort with food instead of going to God

Note: There will be a workshop on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
