How do you know when you have a draft and when you have a manuscript ready to shop to publishers, especially in a time when you can publish anything that’s in the writing process? You can’t get to the point where you want your draft to be a book so badly that you skip the important work of revision. If it’s not ready it’s not ready. You have to keep writing to the end.
