May 08, 2018

Early 2018 statistics show there are about 6.5 million available jobs in the U.S. There are plenty of jobs available. How prepared people are to take these jobs? It doesn’t matter how well you do your current job, your services might not be needed in the near future. Now is the time to focus on gaining the knowledge about technology. Your job security depends on it.
Transportation
There hasn’t been such an upheaval in transportation since the horseless carriage. Yet, the need to transport of people and things is increasing. The transportation industry is headed for some remarkable changes with the advent of autonomous transportation. The nature of the this area will change radically. Workers nearing retirement in the next ten to twenty years probably don’t have to worry. The career possibilities a world of autonomous transportation are limited only by the imagination. Mechanics will certainly continue to be in demand. The younger generations will need to keep an eye on developing technologies to see how the changes affect the job market. For those in the middle, the question is which jobs will be going away in the transportation field.
Steam Power
You may have heard of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). Educators are now including the letter “A” in the acronym. The rise of augmented and virtual realities has sparked a interest in teaching the arts. We are already seeing a rise in virtual reality. We need to get back to teaching the arts. Young people will need those creative skills in the future. 3-D printing is where the arts will really shine. The creative requirements for developing “printable” homes, car parts, tools and other items will grow with the new demands of a high-tech economy.
