Amazon Resistance Radio Headquarters - Geekazine

March 13, 2017

Amazon Prime Video is a great service for cord cutters because they offer not only movies and TV shows to watch, they also create their own award-winning content. Shows like “The Man in the High Castle” or “American Playboy”. Amazon Prime Video is also creating documentaries like “Long Strange Trip” as well as bringing back favorite shows such as “Twin Peaks”.

The Resistance Radio took over the Market & Tap room in Downtown Austin, TX during SXSW Interactive. With it’s own secrets, the Market & Tap room is the perfect place to hold challenges to get into the secret room. 5 different levels for different tasks.
When you registered and got your wristband, you could enter and start the challenges – starting with a phone booth task.
But don’t worry. The tasks were not difficult to do (e.g. who was the leader of the “Grateful Dead”). In the end, you were rewarded with either a T-Shirt, water bottle, or bag with a specific logo (like Man in the High Castle or Grateful Dead).
In the lower area was one of the very first Amazon drones with a video playing and a full FAQ sheet. The newer drones are somewhere around Austin this week – I’ll have to go find them.
In the meantime, check out the new shows on Amazon Prime. You can sign up for Prime here.
