Blocks Modular Smartwatch with Smart Band

January 27, 2016

Smart watches have one major downside - they're tough to upgrade. Maybe your favorite watch doesn't have GPS or Wifi. That is where Blocks comes in. It's a modular smart watch that uses the watch band to add what you need.

From extra battery life, gesture control, and sim card modules to extra sensors, haptic modules, programmable buttons and more, Blocks can adjust to your need. The band links are interchangeable so you can add or remove what works for you.

The watch itself is a Snapdragon 400 quad-core ARM Cortex processor with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB storage. It also has a 400 mAh battery, WiFi, BLE Bluetooth, a microphone and runs Cyanogen Android for Smart watches. The modules are hot swappable and are designed to be waterproof and keep dirt out of the electronics.

Blocks was a successful Kickstarter and now they are getting ready to release soon. For more information, check out Chooseblocks.com
