The MitchCast 192

October 16, 2012

And now, the moment no one has been waiting for...Season 4 of The MitchCast is here, starting with this episode. Couldn't wait to find out what happened next? Last episode's cliffhanger was too much? Well, now you can move on with your lives after you hear this awesome new old sameness!!

What's so new? Well, how about "Two Truths and a Lie"? (Borrowed from friend of the show Scott Rogers.) Play along with Sean and see if you can spot the lie. And that's about it for the new...

Still, you will want to listen to my tips on what to do if you were to take a hot bath with salts, candles, and say, an iPad to watch the last episode of the current half-season of "Breaking Bad", and accidentally drop the iPad in the tub. You may learn a few things about me you didn't want to know in addition to what household item you should stock up on.

There's plenty more to tell, but you just want to get on with it and listen, I know. So don't blame me for the delay. Just look at the big block of notes if you are really interested in the play by play. Otherwise, enjoy!

Captain Coupon: Carl's Jr. Memphis BBQ Burger, oh yeah!! Good through November.

Here's a giant "note-cloud":

Music: "Gonna Fly" by midi file. Season 4, renewed for 6 more episodes! What to expect: complaining about weight, new plan to leave job. We're back in the studio to drop some new tracks. Sean hear's "gestalt" in a meeting and suddenly takes interest. Sean's work moves closer to mine to prepare for the new season of the MitchCast. "Two Truths and a Lie" borrowed from Big Scotty. Sean gets it correct. I did have plans for the box of Ding Dongs. Sean cannot eat 1st or last one in box. Eating 1st @ McDonald's was actually helping my wife out! MitchCast recording night is coincidently garbage night at my house… iPad bath accident. That's what happens when the relationship gets too casual. What to do? Tips. Lucky I collect silica gel packs. 1. Turn off. 2. Dry off. 3. Pack in silica gel packs or rice. 4. Wait. DJ Soundbox was on the iPad. Used the iPhone in its place. Pre-ordered iPhone 5 and I'm in the first group! MOLD: the other silent killer. "Revolution" (JJ Abrams) on the watch list for Sean. I'll wait and see. "Justified", The Wire for backwoods countryfolk. From the headlines, American worker blows whistle on employer, UBS, a swiss bank. For his part he gets $104M and served 2.5 years in prison. Brad Birkenfeld is made an example by the IRS. Depression talk: "No joy" feeling. Saved by uncle and the Harley ride, a Sunday ride followed by a week of borrowing that included nearly getting killed and learning that fuel-injected Harley's don't have reserve tanks. The "club" paid off…finally. Had my fun. Time to give 'er back. The real fear is all the other drivers. The Pillars around which we build our eternal truths. In the 50's, white folks didn't listen to black music. Pat Boone cover's "Tutti Frutti", goes to number 1. 1956 version of "Mack the Knife" sung by Louis Armstrong. 1960, Bobby Darin sings it to the top. Shakes Sean's foundation. My favorite version is "Mac Tonight", the McDonald's version. Sean prefers Bobby Darin. Check out YouTube "Rejected Pitches" videos. Netflix recommendations: Sean notices a slew of Tom Cruise movies: "Vanilla Sky", "Mission Impossible 3", "Risky Business" (Tom does have a pronounced butt if I too say so my self). Also, "Jiro Dreams of Sushi" a documentary. Me: "Fastest", "Legend of Superbike Champion Troy Bayliss" (both narrated by Ewen McGregor). Captain: Carl's Jr, Memphis BBQ Burger! "Dr. Horrible 2" this fall. "Breakin' 2: Electric Boogaloo" (1984), "Beat Street" (also 1984). Plus Movie Stub Vault, one of the fastest. First "reality" movie may have been Albert Brooks "Real Life" (1979).
