It hasn’t even been 100 days and people are already calling for Trump’s impeachment, but do they really even know what they’re asking for?
Lol. That wasn’t a serious question. As long as John and Anastasia can remember, and almost that long for Mike, people on the other side of the aisle have been calling for the impeachment of the sitting president because “wah, I don’t like him”. Not everyone mind you, but enough that it seems we have this discussion regularly. So what we’ve chosen to do in this episode is to break down exactly what it means to impeach a president, or for that matter other government officials, what can bring about an impeachment, and a brief history of where it came from and how it’s been used and thwarted in the past. We’ll wrap the whole thing up with a gentle caress of another tool of political ostracism, censure.
