If you have any Libertarian friends, and this even crosses over into a few other categories as well, you’ve likely heard the mantra “Taxation is theft” in countless conversations, seen it plastered aggressively and sometimes even cleverly in memes, gifs, and videos. So what we seek to do in this episode is delve into the history of taxes along with the various forms they come in, and then discuss the arguments for and against them and the arguments on both sides of the validity of calling taxes stolen property.
