This is a controversial verse.   If you Google it there are many in depth articles that are very good in explaining the differing opinions. Which ever opinion you hold to on baptism, it doesn't negate the fact of a resurrection from the dead. -

Paul is a great defender of the resurrection in this passage. Not only the resurrection of Jesus but of the future resurrection of the believers V.23 at Christ's coming. Everyone in their own order. Then Christ will rule till all enemies are defeated,

They fell asleep or died. They didn't go to be with the Lord, they died. - 1 Corinthians 15:6

The unrepentant sinner is to be put out of the church so that their sin won't influence others to sin. And that they might repent and stop sinning. Notice that they will be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus. Which is when Jesus returns to earth.

We will be immortal if we believe in Jesus. But if that's all we have right, then our reward in the kingdom will be small. The more we follow where the spirit leads us the greater our rewards will be. - 1 Corinthians 3:8-15 KJV

We are called by God to know Jesus. - 1 Corinthians 1:9 KJV

Paul was the apostle to the Gentiles but he would still preach to those from Israel because he never knew who the remnant would be. - Romans 11:13-15 KJV - Paul tells the Gentiles not to feel superior to Israel because they know Jesus.
