We are heading deep down this month with a Detroit and Chicago inspired Techno fest.

When it comes down to it, the roots of all electronic dance music is in the original Techno sound. Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson all blazed a trail that lead to where we are today.

What I find amazing is that producers are still finding innovative variations on the Techno theme to this very day - pumping out tracks that totally lock you into a groove the way that only good Techno can.

I don't profess to be a Techno aficionado by any stretch, but I know what I love. This bunch of tunes still give me that same feeling I got 20+ years ago when I heard that first 4:4 thump.
