Time machines are not available...
So we'll just have to use what we have. While not a necessary 'tool' in our belt for interpretation, knowing and realizing that the bible is an OLD set of writings is imperative. Not because it is out-dated, but because there may be some things in there that we don't need to mash into our contemporary timeline.
