Furry Friday with the SPCA, Expressing Vulnerability, Benefits of R&R #1038

July 12, 2019

We love Furry Friday! Our favorite animal advocate, Maura Davies, VP of Communications for the SPCA, has great pet care tips and advice. Firstly, spay and neuter your pets! They live longer and healthier lives. Secondly, always ADOPT! Shelter cats and dogs make the best pets. And, they are waiting to go to their furever homes right now! Lastly, consider fostering a pet if you can't adopt. You'll be saving a life and you'll feel good in the process.
Jamie-Lee Fraser
Next we discuss the power of vulnerability with Jamie-Lee Fraser.  Fraser is an award-winning business growth expert, using her experience and  positive psychology methods to help entrepreneurs realize their full potential. Hear how being vulnerable both in business and in personal life can lead to success and happiness.

Mo Brossette
Last, but not least, Mo Brossette discusses the importance of rest and relaxation.  Mo is the Director of Mindset and Nutrition at the Adaptive Training Foundation (ATF). He knows first-hand the importance of Rest, Recovery and Reflection in everyday life. Firstly, today's current mindset is if we aren't constantly moving, busy and stressed, we aren't doing a good job, or are "successful". With that said, is the measure of success how hard we work and how tired we are? When we take the time to rest and chill out, we reset our bodies so we can be ready for the next challenge. Brossette says we need to take time and enjoy ourselves. Brossette says we succeed when we listen to our bodies and act accordingly. In other words, work hard but take time to Rest, Relax and Reflect. Learn more about Mo and the Adaptive Training Foundation at adaptivetrainingfoundation.org.
