Aikido Black Belt, Lynn Fabia – Conversation: Learn How to Shift Energy – Ep008

April 16, 2017

The Naked Vibes Show features conversations with musicians, artists & healers to ignite your creative genius & elevate you in your spiritual growth.

This episode features 6th Degree Aikido Black Belt/Author/Musician, Lynn Fabia. Lynn teaches the art of moving Truth – the energy of Spirit – into the body. She defines external martial arts vs. Aikido, an internal martial art or “life practice”. She talks about: “soft focus” as a starting point for intentional movement of energy, “dancing” effortlessly with opposing energies, conflict & resistance (in Aikido, at work, in personal relationships) – learning to respond, instead of reacting.

In this radio archive, Lynn joined me in the studio to share tools from her martial arts practice & insights from her book, The Martial Art of Life: The Art of Intentional Living.

7:57 - How does Lynn get a student to start understanding the difference between walking in ego vs Spirit? Understanding fluctuations in energy & the ways movement becomes very natural.
9:19 - How often do you practice Aikido? An exact answer can signal that you’re not really understanding the practice!
9:40 - Being “more spiritual”. Understanding prayer that never ceases & associated misconceptions.
10:30 - When you learn to be in spirit all the time, you feel it when you step out of it!
11:00 - When you step beyond the physical, you gain a broader perspective of life.
11:14 - If you could see yourself when the light-bulb moment of expanded consciousness goes off, you’d see that it looks like nothing happened, though everything shifted!
12:11 - Confidence in spirit can be confused with arrogance by those living in the ego. The difference between the two is in being assertive without fear.
12:47 - Why do people sometimes fear those who are “assertive without fear”?
14:04 - Physical appearance is the least informative energy. Pre-judging can cause us to miss the more powerful,
