Music On The Couch

Mary Jo Curry, Bruce Katz, CKNM Little G, CKNM Liz Mandeville

October 17, 2016

We begin the evening sitting with Ms. Mary Jo Curry.  Out of central Illinois, Mary Jo has taken the Blues world by storm with her release simply entitled Mary Jo Curry.  The album hit #1 on the RMR Blues Chart and was produced by Couch Kid, the superb James Armstrong.  What path did Mary Jo take to get to today and where is she heading tomorrow will be part of our conversation.

Then I am excited to welcome Bruce Katz.  The four-time BMA nominee has released Out From The Center. Bruce is one of the most in-demand keyboardist in the business today and I look forward to spending time chatting about his career and music. OH and we will give away a copy of Out From The Center for one lucky listener.

Little G Is Back!  G returns for the third time to talk about his new release Three Chords Too Many.  Always fun to talk to this great songwriter, guitarist and this new album is a combination of two impromptu recording sessions.  One held in St. Louis and the other in Budapest, Hungary.  G and I will talk about what he has been up to since he last visited and how these sessions came about.

Then Liz Mandeville returns for her third visit to talk about her new release The Stars Motel.  This is another non-traditional album as it was recorded in the studio in Liz’s basement – the contributing artists were given room and board in exchange for writing and recording three songs with Liz.  She and I will talk about this unique idea and the travels she has been on since she last visited.
