By doing this, The Creator allowed me and my family to experience something very special, very blessed. Something that even Moshe Rabbeinu, Moses, Our Teacher, Moses, our Forefather, who God chose to lead the Jews out of slavery in Egypt, Moses, who God chose to receive the Torah for all of Israel, Moses, who God chose to speak with face to face , personally. I was blessed to do something that Moses himself was not permitted to experience...to live in the Land of Israel, God's gift to The Jewish People.

As we read in this week's Torah portion, Chukat (Chukas)Moses was punished by God for striking the rock on Mount Horeb instead if merely speaking to it while trying to provide water to the thirsty Israelites. The ultimate punishment for Israel's leader...no entry into The Land of Israel.

And here I am, 25 years later, living happily here with my family. Wow!!! What a blessing!!!
