October 14, 2016

Late Night Conversation, hosted by Emma Jacobs
Featured Guest: Lily Hoang

Purchase A Bestiary
Tonight, Emma Jacobs speaks with Lily Hoang, author of A Bestiary. A Bestiary was published in 2015 by the CSU Poetry Center, and is a collection of personal essays modelled on the Chinese Zodiac. Through fragments and fairytales, it traces the author’s tender and fraught relationships with her Vietnamese parents, her late sister, and her past lovers. In this conversation, Lily and Emma talk about emotional endurance, Chinese soap operas, fortune-telling, and chickens.
