October Offerings - The Legend of Sleepy Hollow

September 30, 2013

Hello darlings and welcome to Juuno’s Corners’ October Offerings.  All year I have waited, anticipated, and finally the days are getting crisper, the air a little thiner, the night a little longer.  Finally…October is here.  Join us for some frighteningly good, old scary stories.  Most of them are borrowed from Librivox at www.librivox.org, the stories are all public domain, just waiting to be heard…again…aching to rise from their dusty crypts and climb… into your mind…

For our very first story, we have one of my personal favorites…The Legend of Sleepy Hollow by Washington Irving.  This rendition is read by Bob Neufeld from Librivox.org.

Music used (always with permission of the artists) this episode include:

“Playful Spirits†from the Carpe Noctem album by Prelude to a Nightmare (www.PreludeToANightmareMusic.com);

“The Hollow†from the Grim Tales album, “Tranquility†from the Winter’s Majesty album, and “Remnants†from the Darklore Manor album all by Nox Arcana (www.NoxArcana.com);

“Black Cat†from the Black Cat album by Michael Hedstrom (www.Hedstrom.net.)

My eternal gratitude and admiration go out to all of these excellent haunted musicians.

Happy October, darlings!
