Dad Vigil, Day Five: Yesterday's second attempt at an MRI (plus a lot more) revealed a spinal abscess, which accounts for my father's chronic back pain.  He is to be scheduled tonight for some sort of surgical procedure to remove or, hopefully, drain it, most likely sometime tomorrow, so the inevitable sojourn will continue.  Maybe I can start glomming his polo shirts as long as I can find his laundry soap.
