No matter how much we want to believe itâ€¦ we arenâ€™t perfect.Â Dadâ€¦ youâ€™re not Superman!Â Momâ€¦ youâ€™re not Wonder Woman!Â Are you ready to admit your weakness?
Your teens already know youâ€™re not perfectâ€¦ but when youâ€™re finally up front about your faults, youâ€™ll actually build your relationship.Â Your son and daughter are daily surrounded by voices that tell them they donâ€™t measure up.Â And when you get on his or her level and admit your own imperfectionâ€¦ youâ€™re doing two things.
First, youâ€™re helping your teen feel comfortable in his own skin.Â And second, youâ€™re teaching him how to have a confident, but realistic, assessment of himself.
Being imperfect is okay.Â And it doesnâ€™t hurt to admit it!
