What We Did This Week
Hunter
I did a lot of fractals and working on the fractal legendary backpack. I’m nearly done tier 1, but I still need a ball of dark energy. I spent a bunch of gold salvaging my extra rings to get one only to find out you don’t get them from rings, just earrings and amulets apparently. Which sucks because all I got from the rings were stabilization matrixes and they’re relatively cheap. Anyway I did various challenges and whatnot there were a lot of fun.
I also spent a lot of time the past couple weeks running all my alts through verdant brink getting their specializations unlocked and gaining xp through basic exploration. So as of right now I’ve got all the specializations except Herald and I’m HoT mastery level 81. I also tend to leave my alts at a certain farm location.
I finished the first tier of the Quip precursor collection, it involved a lot of mockery and vomiting, but I was a little disappointed about the cost of crafting the actual tier 1 pistol. 15 deldrimor steel, 10 elonian leather, and 10 spiritwood planks. It’d be nice if Anet didn’t think there has to be huge material sinks to every single thing in the game.
So surprised by the quality of the adventures. Previous activities like crab toss or keg brawl felt like they were missing something. Most adventures are actually a lot of fun. I do them daily because they reward a lot of experience, and ones like salvage pit where you can get gold every time can give around 50k xp.
Allona
Did a few of the Adventures for the first time
Had two nights of guild missions; saturday with MoCK and Monday with Maven
There were a couple pathetisad games of Stronghold
Completed the story without getting any spoilers! (at the slightest hint of anything i perceived as spoilers I would shush people pretty aggressively … to my guildies: sorry if you were on the receiving end of my obsessiveness)
Celeste
Finished the story after having a punishing experience for at least 2 days
I’ve tried to start the Dragon Stand meta event a couple of times but mostly I’ve been more interested in harvesting potatoes and trying to get peppercorn.
Livestreaming Wednesday’s at 9:30pm EST/6:30pm PST at twitch.tv/mmoreporter.

Huzzah! The first raid wing (Spirit Vale) will be coming into the game on the 17th!
Astralaria, HOPE, and Nevermore collections will also be live at this time
“The first time you kill each raid boss in a week, you’ll receive access to the boss chest, which contains the boss’s loot. This chest can only be earned the first time you kill the boss each week and will award experience, gold, rare and exotic items, and a chance at ascended gear and unique boss rewards.”
Bosses will drop from a pool of ascended armors and weapons where you will be able to choose between 4 new stats:
Assaulter & Malicious - “provide offense-oriented sets like Berserker, Assassin, Sinister, Viper, and other similar attribute combinations”
Defender - defense oriented. duh.
Healer - for healers!
A: Hooray! More stats for me to never remember what they do!
