012 Winchester Mystery House

April 03, 2019

In Ghostly’s twelfth episode, Pat and Rebecca explore the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California. The Winchester is said to have been built by a woman trying to keep spirits at bay, but what is the truth behind this fantastical house?

Questions explored in this episode:

* What is the Winchester Mystery House? * What does it look like? * Why are people so fascinated by it? * Who was Sarah Winchester? * Why did she build it? * How did she build it? * Was the house built to trap spirits? * Was it built to show another dimension? * Is the house haunted?

In this episode Pat gives the history of the house and of Sarah Winchester, then Rebecca tells the creepy stories told by those that work in the house today.

Afterward, both hosts debate and explore these tales as well as an alternate theory for Sarah’s unending drive to keep building 365 days a year for 36 years.

Sarah Winchester

Here is a snapshot of the ghostly stories from the house…listen for more details!

* The ghost man who walks outside by the basement, tipping his hat to those that see him.* Doors that open and close by themselves.* People being touched by ghost hands.* Voices calling out names * A room dedicated just to holding séances* An obsession with prime numbers, especially the number 13* Potential Freemasonary

And be sure to check out http://thetruthaboutsarahwinchester.com/,which goes in depth on the theory of Sarah’s Freemason past and desire to showcase that with her construction.

Listen to both sides and decide what you believe. Be sure to listen for the “Closing Arguments” to help you make your choice.
