Ask MomRN Show: Actress Dee Wallace

October 05, 2015

It's MomRN's birthday and today we are celebrating with the following fantastic guests and interviews!

There is really nothing more important than self-esteem. Did you know that 16.9% of high school students report being bullied? Did you know that 64% of students who are bullied never report it? Bullying is an epidemic problem in our schools today.

Actress Dee Wallace, who you will recognize as the mother from ET, has developed an amazing product that will teach children to love who they are, which in turn will create children who can love others. With her product BuppaLaPaloo, she has created a fabulous interactive toy, and a child’s best friend, that will promote self-love and will help nurture children and help them grow. Dee joins us to share why she created the bear and how you can help support this campaign to teach our children how to learn themselves and others. Over 1 million babies worldwide are born each year with congenital heart defects. Joining us to discuss this serious problem is young actor, Max Page, best known as "Little Darth Vader" from the Super Bowl ad and for his role on the Young and the Restless soap opera. He is joined by his mom, Jennifer Page, and Dr. Mark Carlson from St. Jude Medical. Max was born with a congenital heart defect and received a new pacemaker last month.

Today's episode also includes helping teachers through Donors Choose and Sonic's Limeades for Learning initiative; money and happiness; cervical cancer screening & college drinking prevention.
