Halloween is one of the most anticipated holidays of the year for kids and although it’s spooky, it doesn’t need to be scary for your little ones’ teeth.

President of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Jade Miller joins us now with tips on how to scare away the “mouth monsters" (also known as tooth decay) – and advise parents on how to keep their kids’ mouths healthy all year long!

Dr. Neal Baer joins us to share tips on how you and your kids can have a happy and healthy Halloween this year. Dr. Baer is a pediatrician and television writer who combines his passion for medicine and storytelling to challenge audiences' views on a spectrum of social and political topics.  Prior to his work as Executive Producer and Showrunner for Under the Dome, Dr. Baer was Executive Producer and Showrunner of Law and Order: Special Victims Unit, which received six Emmys and a Golden Globe for acting, and Executive Producer of the NBC hit series ER, where he received five Emmy nominations as a producer and two for writing.

Depression is an illness that knows no boundaries. It affects people from all walks of life year-round, but perhaps especially at this time of year. Many experts say shorter days and long cold nights can trigger seasonal affective disorder, a type of depression that occurs with changes in season.  October is Depression Education and Awareness Month. We have Audrey Gruss, the Founder of Hope For Depression Research Foundation, joining us to debunk myths about depression and discuss hopeful findings on the horizon.

Tamara Walker, RN, aka MomRN, and her expert guests share practical advice, information and support for raising a happy, healthy family.
