We’ve had Adam, we’ve had Matty. Like Pokemon, we gotta catch ‘em all. This week we are honored to have on another of the fine folks from Filmspotting, Co-Host, Mr. Josh Larsen. Josh has been writing about film for a very long time and Filmspotting is consistently ranked among the best film podcasts on iTunes and other platforms. Because Josh is such a Wes Anderson Fan, we thought we would take a look into Wes Adnerson’s Best Scenes.

If you are not already familiar with Mr. Anderson (and no we are not talking about The Matrix) then you need to crawl out from the rock and set sail for deliberately paced waters, where dialog is witty and characterizations are rich. Wesley Wales “Wes” Anderson was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for The Royal Tenenbaums in 2001, Moonrise Kingdom in 2012 and The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2015, as well as the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature for Fantastic Mr. Fox in 2009. He received his first Academy Award nomination for Best Director and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for The Grand Budapest Hotel in 2014. He also received the BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2015. Watching an Anderson film is a tragically funny and singular experience. He is one of CinemaJaw’s favorite filmmakers working today.

It was a pleasure to get into the Anderson filmography with Josh Larsen!

We also get to our best bits: I for an I, Trivia and CinemaWAR as well. It’s whimsical and quirky. Have a listen!
