Who Is Lacey Haslam?
As Lead Organizer of Archive Project, Lacey Haslam generates social engagement projects rooted in participation, collaboration, and public exchange. Haslam is the Director of BLOCK Gallery, a site-responsive exhibition program taking place in alternative and public spaces.
With a focus on bridging art and our everyday spaces, Haslam’s public projects include the annual 9th Street New Media Art Exhibition, a public event in the windows of businesses along 9th Street in Downtown Oakland and organizing Latham Square Memorial Fountain with text-based artist Kari Marboe. 
Haslam has facilitated commissions and permanent installations at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD and the Li Ka Shing Building at UC Berkeley.  
Her projects have been featured in KQED Arts, Bad At Sports, East Bay Express and SFArts Monthly. Haslam’s writing has been published on SFMOMA’s Open Space–Collection Rotation.  She holds an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and a BFA from University of North Carolina at Asheville.
