Your Noir at the Bar Chicago mastermind, Mr. Jake Hinkson

Jake Hinkson is the author of three novels (HELL ON CHURCH STREET, THE POSTHUMOUS MAN, THE BIG UGLY), a novella (SAINT HOMICIDE), and a short story collection (THE DEEPENING SHADE). In addition, he has written articles and profiles for The Los Angeles Review Of Books, Mental Floss, Mystery Scene, and Noir City. His first collection of essays, THE BLIND ALLEY: EXPLORING FILM NOIR'S FORGOTTEN CORNERS, is forthcoming. His novels HELL ON CHURCH STREET and THE POSTHUMOUS MAN will be released in France in 2015. He lives in Chicago.

Jedidiah Ayres was born that way.
From Booked.: Jedidiah is the Stepfather of Noir. Dispensing with the boring publication information first - In addition to his own works: Peckerwood, A Fuckload of Shorts, and Fierce Bitches, he’s edited the fiction anthologies: Dicked, and Noir at the Bar volumes 1 & 2.
Now, Peter Rozovsky is the creator of Noir at the Bar (Jed, anything to say about Peter?) but Jed is arguably the one who got the whole damn global ball rolling. There are regular events in Jed’s own St. Louis, as well as NYC, LA, and Portland, and other events have taken place in more than a dozen other locations.

Best-selling crime fiction author Libby Fischer Hellmann claims she's "writing her way around the genre." With eleven novels and twenty short stories published, she has written thrillers, suspense mysteries, historicals, PI novels, amateur sleuth, police procedurals, and even a cozy mystery. She has been nominated for: the Anthony (twice), the Agatha, Foreword Reviews “Thriller of the Year" (twice) and has won the Lovey multiple times. She lives in Chicago and claims they’ll take her out of there feet first.

Next episode, the second half of Noir at the Bar Chicago.
