Ever Changing Feelings |
|
What’s behind this song really is the fear of and resistance to change that most of us have, whether we realize that’s what it is or not. People change and things change. It is the only thing you can rely on in this universe; the only thing that is constant is the process of change. It never stops, so if you find yourself disappointed in somebody because ‘they have changed’, drop it and look at yourself. This is also aplicable to the need to be right all the time. Sorry to be blunt, but that’s where the problem (if there is one at all) lies. Your perception of what is around you. How can people be wrong for changing? They are not and cannot ever be defined out of your desire for what they should or should not be. If that bothers you then you can do some changing yourself and see it from a healthier perspective. People can only be themselves and if that is not 100% the same as you want them to be (which is pretty much always the case) you are going to feel bad if you can’t accept it. Change means being alive. A straight line on a heart-rate machine in the hospital indicates that the patient has stopped living. It indicates life and activity with a line that fluctuates between opposites. Hey people, this is what life is anyway! If you want good then there has to be bad by which good can have reference. Or you could cheer yourself up loads by accepting things as they are, playing the good vs bad game just a little by having a preference for something, but accepting when things are not exactly the way you prefer. It’s called being grateful for what life teaches you and it is the attitude by which you can be much happier and more successful, believe me I have tried both approaches. I know which one I prefer, even if I do sound crazy! I got these feelings, I don’t wanna believe in I also write The Neural Recon Report, where I discuss things like beliefs and how your reality is governed by what you are programmed to focus on and filter out automatically and the fact that you can re-program to more consciously apply those filters and focus where you actually want to put your energy. That topic of discussion has brought me an exponential increase in creativity and an abundant source of inspiration for much of my music, which I want to pass on and share with you. Please remember though I am no university, qualified doctor or neuro-scientist. I am just talking from my personal experience. Oh and by the way I’m always right. Enjoy! |

I’m not sure how finished this song is. Not because the super-simplicity of the music, but lyrically. I know what I’m trying to convey, but I’m not sure it is that clear to the listener. Basically it kind of an internal battle of feelings of not wanting change and the knowledge that change is inevitable, if not essential. However, my philosophy is to share the path of evolution of what I create, so here it is as it is now. Who knows if and how it will change?
