Why American Vanadium Is The Key To Green Energy Storage - Feb 19,2013

February 19, 2013

The path to affordable sustainable energy, especially when it comes to efficiency and accessibility has many challenges. This is primarily because of the costs involved with production and distribution of energy. There are also many other factors to consider, such as environmental impact, safety, available resources and efficiency of the technology. While it would be great if we could simply switch to renewable energy overnight, unfortunately we still have a long transitional period ahead of us, especially if the United States is to become completely energy independent. With massive power outages impacting large segments of the population, it is obvious that we can be thrown off the grid at any time and in any location. Severe weather systems such as Hurricane Katrina, Superstorm Sandy as well as the blackout in India last July (which affected over 620 million people) have demonstrated the reality of what can be expected because of the lack of available electric energy. The key is solution is energy storage. In this segment of The Clean Energy View Radio Show, host, June Stoyer talks to energy expert, Ron MacDonald, the Executive Chairman of American Vanadium about a historic and timely solution for providing sustainable electric energy storage. Stay tuned!
