Guest: Todd Friel, host, “Wretched” Radio and TV Programs
“If you do not know what it means to be an evangelical Christian, it basically works like this: you say a prayer, ask Jesus into your heart and then you vote Republican and start watching Fox News. A lot.”
This was the satirical opening line of a post-election column written by Christian radio host Todd Friel entitled “Fox News and the Republican Party Are Not Your Friends.” His point was that political conservatism does not equal biblical Christianity and that born-again Christians need to be wary of the worldview and influence of leading conservatives and the future direction of the Republican Party.
What are the main differences between political conservatism and biblical Christianity -- aren’t they both pro-life and pro-marriage? What looks to be the future of the Republican Party after losing another presidential election? And how can born-again Christians be involved in politics without compromising biblical beliefs?
Todd Friel, host of the nationally-syndicated radio and television programs, Wretched, will join us on The Christian Worldview this Saturday to discuss these questions and more.
