Talksplosion Episode 31 “Whatever happened to the X-Men of Tomorrow” |
|
Welcome to Talksplosion episode 31: What the fuck Happened to the Ultimate Universe? Edition. This week we are going to be talking The New York Four, by Brian freaking Wood. And (not) talking about Plain Janes. Music presented by Radio Disney and the Jonas Brothers. Also we are going to be looking at Ultimate X-men (and the rest of the ultimate universe as well, what’s in store?) Sam’s pick of the week this week is: The Original Silence, from their album, The second Original Silence “Argument Left Hanging – Rubber Cement.” 5:44: fleeing the scene of a mime robbery on cats. 10:18: The Original Silence 10:47: Small town Super jazz Jeremiahs PoW is Animosity and Drumcorps, track is called Thin Retro God. 14:43 this is the best song ever written during Homeroom. I’m not being a dick, this is like the best part of every single CD I owned at 14 thrown into a clam for 6 weeks. Drumcorps, Animosity. 19:43 it’s packaged in a sleeve on 100 dollar bills though, I bet that makes up for the recockulous vinyl. Sam actually liked this more than previous Drumcorps tracks presented during the ‘cast. Sure that the remixes are a hobojillion times more interesting than Animosity normally sounds, he would listen to the e.p. More than once. 22:44 Check out the crappy vinyl and pick of the free mp3’s here 23:00 We love you Arcanecomics.net! They let us handle their floppy’s. This week we are talking about The New York Four. From DC’s Minx line. Created by Brian Wood with art by Ryan Kelly 26:16 Super teen girl squad 30:51 I had my period today . . . fucking gross. Our next book this week is Ultimate X-men: Sam’s caught up edition. 35:00 Kirkmans Manifesto 35:32 We still love you Mr. Kirkman, please don’t kill us. 36:43 See ya Ultimate FF! FU! 38:27 Crisis on Infinite Phoenix. 42:39 Kill them! Kill that book. Jeremiah is fine with a polarized quality between the normal and ultimate Marvel universes, while Sam is waiting until after “Ultimatum” to get excited about the ultimate universe again. -Riley “I’m sorry these still suck I promise to get a real computer soon . . . Maybe” Scott. |
