PRI: Selected Shorts

The first two stories on this program are from Ian Frazier’s anthology Humor Me. Chip Zien reads “A Prayer,” by Paul Sims, who petitions God for a dignified death. Next is SHORTS host Isaiah Sheffer’s reading of Frazier’s “Lamentations of the Father” —the average suburban Dad as a counterpart to the Almighty. The third story is a supernatural adventure by Jules Verne, and the program finishes up with Ellen Currie’s sly comedy “Robbed,” read by Christina Pickles.
