Set several months down the track, Reed assembled the Four to investigate the mysterious disappearances of a number of nuclear power stations in Europe and Asia (that's right - they actually vanished into the Earth during a series of catastrophic earthquakes - Jack Kirby always thought big). Reed has traced the source of the tremors to Monster Isle, a semi-mythical island in the best Homeric tradition.
