07/04/09 - Show #240: "Happy 80th Birthday Al Davis - and Many More" |
|
TOPICS: Segment #1: "Stop The Timidity" Raider Greg reads an article from one of our favorite Raider blogs, the RaiderTake. The title of the article is "Stop The Timidity", and the theme is that the Raiders should not use a conservative, gradual approach in regards to our rookie players (and our 2nd and 3rd year players). We should play them aggressively. Raider Greg adds his thoughts. You can read the article "Stop the Timidity" (and other great articles) on the RaiderTake blog here: http://raidertake.blogspot.com/2009/06/stop-timidity.html Segment #2: Believe it or not....The Chiefs Could Take The AFC West......NOT! From an article in the Kansas City Star website entitled, "Believe it: This is how the Chiefs can win the AFC West in 2009". The author outlines reasons why the Chiefs could win the division. He mentions the Chargers and Broncos, but there is not one mention of the Raiders in the article at all, as if they are no threat at all in the division. Raider Greg covers the article, plus adds opinions from Chiefs fans who commented at the end of the article. Very interesting. Raider Greg gives his thoughts on this and other things related to the Raiders defense. Here is the link to the article and video: http://kgmb9.com/main/content/view/18711/43/ Segment #4: Happy 80th Birthday Al Davis - and Many More Raider Greg gives his personal happy birthday wishes and thanks to Al Davis for all he has done.
