What’s the average income in your area in Devon? Figures revealed |
|
Ever wanted to keep up with the Jones, or at least know what they were bringing home? A handy reckoner of the estimated household income in Devon has been published. The figures, from Devon County Council’s Strategic Intelligence unit, are broken down by district, ward, parish and constituency, and offered in mean (average) and median (the one in the middle) figures. The South Hams tops the mean and median income ranges, with the average income at £32,615 (just pipping Teignbridge at £32,392). And the lowest is Torridge, which has an average household income of £28,800. Torridge also has the highest percentage of households with earnings under £10,000 (10 per cent), and the fewest over £75,000 (2 per cent). But there’s far more detail in the guide, which drills down its estimates to the parish level. Check out how you’re doing with the estimated household income in your neighbourhood. • What do these figures mean for Devon?
