Welcome to the Show
Welcome to this week's episode of the Nursing Show, I'm your host Jamie Davis and I'd like to welcome all of you to this week's program. I'm looking forward to this week's episode including a look at a news item on simple nursing interventions improving outcomes for chemotherapy patients. I'll also be talking about ways you can direct your patients to high quality online health care information resources. That's coming up right after this week's nursing news items.
Before I get to that, remember to visit NursingShow.com (http://nursingshow.com) and click the link for Shownotes at the top of the page. It will take you right to the most recent episode. Scroll down to find all the previous episodes. Follow-up on the links for the news items as well as all of the additional resource links that go with the tips of the week and interview segments. All of that is there at NursingShow.com.
If you want to get back in touch with me, please drop me an email. Send those e-mails in to NursingShow@Gmail.com (mailto:email@example.com). I love to hear from you and I respond back to every email that comes in. Send me links to news items you'd like me to cover, interview suggestions with you or somebody you know. Whatever the case may be, keep those e-mails coming. I will have more contact information coming up later on in this episode but I guess we'll go ahead and get on to the rest of the show as we get ready for this week's news.

Tip of the Week - Internet Health Resources
In this week's tip of the week, I will be looking at that final news item on patients using the internet to self diagnose health problems. This is a growing problem and, as that article points out, telling them to "just say no" is not an option. We need to provide our patients lists of credible online resources so they get good information about their problems. I've put together a list of resources I use and recommend here for the tip this week.
