Welcome to the Show
(http://www.nursingshow.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/homecare-nurse-patient-education-medication-sm-300x199.jpg)Good day and welcome to this week's episode of the Nursing Show. I'm your host Jamie Davis and I would like to welcome all of you to the program this week. We have a great program coming up for you. We're going to be looking at some of the push back regarding hospital Medicare readmission billing policies. We're also going to be talking a little bit about why we should be smiling more for our patients, and a look at a great tech gadget I picked up over Engadget.com. All that coming up in the news this week plus we'll also have a tip review of extrapyramidal symptoms, something you may see in some of your pocket guides for medications and things like that.
Before we get to all that, I do want to remind you to check out all of the information and links associated with this episode in the show notes page. To find all that head over to NursingShow.com (http://nursingshow.com) and click the show notes link at the top of the page. You'll be able to find all the information from this and every other episode there.
If you'd like to get back in touch with me, I'd love to hear from you. Go ahead and send those e-mails into me here at NursingShow@Gmail.com (mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org). I love to hear from you and I do respond back to every e-mail that comes in. I've been hearing from a lot of students as well as other nurses checking in about some of the things I talked about recently and I just want to thank you for all of the e-mails. Please keep them coming. This is very much a community effort here and I look forward to hearing from each and every one of you. I'll have some more contact information later on in this episode but you know we should probably get ready and get into the rest of the show. Let's get ready to head on into this week's news.

Tip of the Week - Extrapyramidal Symptoms
In this week's tip of the week we're going to look at extrapyramidal symptoms. Extrapyramidal symptoms is one of the things that we see commonly in a lot of medication side effects. It will just be a listing that says extrapyramidal symptoms. What are they and what specifically does that entail for patients? Some of you may know sort of what it means or you may have forgotten.
