“Occupy Wall Street List”

A parody of “Grown-Up Christmas List”

Written & Sung by Chris Cowan

Do you remember me?
I majored in art history.
I worked really hard and earned a college degree.
I agreed to a student loan.
But can’t find a job of my own.
Now I’m asking you to pay it off for me…

So here’s my lifelong wish
My occupy wall street list
Not for myself, but for –okay, myself…

No more credit card payments
No tearing down our tents
Or pepper-spraying students!
Every man would have income
Even if he’s a lazy bum
Who spends it all on rum!
This is my Occupy Wall Street list

The 99% believes

the grandest sight to see would be free money and unearned prosperity! I think we paid our dues When we bought our iPads brand-new, Now it’s time.. for the rest to be paid by you!

no more paying for myself

not even by stocking shelves …also, I want my own elf! every man can poo where he wants without being hassled by cops for ruining public lawns!

What is this illusion called responsibility?
Sounds like a capitalist pig trying to force work ethic on me!

(instrumental)

No more jobs to drag us down,
No paying to live in my town,
Constant entertainment from circus clowns!
Every man would have an island,
Economic rights would all be banned
And unicorns! Lots of unicorns!

This is my Occupy Wall Street list
This is for the 99%
This is my Occupy Wall Street list
