Jim Suhler, Dave Muskett, Black Tongued Bells & NEW MUSIC Doug Briney - Feb 25,2014

February 24, 2014

Jim Suhler has been performing since the 80's and since 1999 he has played with George Thorogood and The Destroyers on 6 albums and numerous tours. His new album with his band, Monkey Beat, was released last week and Jim will be stopping by to talk about his career and the album, Panther Burn. Dave Muskett has earned his way to Memphis for the IBC in both 2012 and 2014 and his 2012 release The Muskett Brothers Blues Show was nominated as Best Self-Produced CD by the Cincy Blues Society. Dave will join me to talk about his career and we will listen to music from Double EP, his latest release. The Black Tongued Bells describe their sound as "a steamy gumbo of gothic-gospel juju, hopped up rock & roll, and dirt-pounding juke joint blues" and their debut album Every Tongue Has A Tale To Tell was selected as one of the top 50 Blues CDs Played Worldwide by The Root Music Report. I will chat with the band about their music and lives. Then Doug Briney returns to talk about his latest release, Super Country Cowboy, and it has brought him many accolades and a nomination for Best Male Artist for the Nashville Universe Awards.
