Minute #109 | Singing Makes It Easier

The other day I was teaching a class when I noticed several folks singing along to the music with a big smile on there face.  Maybe it’s time you start singing too. Over the years there have been studies that prove exercising to music you like increases the intensity and your enjoyment by about 15%. Here’s what I mean.  When you play music you like enough that you start singing along while you exercise, you know that your emotions have taken over.  That happens because most exercises are simple and don’t require much thought - just a little practice and your muscle memory takes over and you’re on auto pilot.  Playing music you really love takes your focus away from that burning feeling in your biceps and puts it on the music.  The end results?  As you begin to get results – your mind will associate the good feeling you got with your music with the good results - and exercise gets easy – something you’ll craze.  So go ahead – start singing. Hey, It’s all about moving.  Do Some now so that you can do more later.
