L.A.’s Skid Row district is home to an estimated 4500 homeless and transient people and If you’re walking ‘The Nickel’ you are bound to run into some interesting characters to say the least– you may even run into a pirate. On this episode of The MorMusic Radio Pod, Kazu Nagahama joins Vince along with SRS founder Jeremy and Skidrow Studios show host Johnny Scott Grammercy, and we welcome a Downtown Los Angeles celebrity & the self proclaimed Mayor of Skid Row, the one and only Rickey Taylor, better known by DTLA locals as RICKEY THE PIRATE! Another fun episode as we hang with Rickey The Pirate and learn a little about the man beneath the pirate hat, we open up the phones, take a couple calls and even say hello to Rickey’s mom who by the end of the call becomes all our mom. Rickey is one of a kind, he loves that ‘booty,’ and he lives to make people laugh and smile.
