I'm amazed how such an old form of communication, Morse code, gets used in all these superhero shows. Recently, Agent Carter and the Flash both had pivotal Morse code scenes. Apparently it also played a big part in some of Steven Spielberg's recent movies including Super 8, The Adventures of Tin Tin, and Lincoln. One of my favorite concept albums, Radio KAOS by Roger Waters, starts and ends with the sound of dots and dashes. I guess in our crazy big modern binary world, it's reassuring to break down communication to dots and dashes. Why the hell not? We've already broken it down to white and gold or black and blue dresses.
