Living in podCastro Valley you get a sense of some of our oddities: that we're one of the biggest unincorporated cities in California, that we have over 60,000 people living here, and that we have a bizarre hang-up on signs. We had a city welcome sign built over ten years ago that ended up being rejected by the podCastro Valley residents once displayed. Then this month a nice new illuminated sign at a burger joint got taken down not by the city, but by the county that supplies services to us. What ended up happening is we threw a little fit. Now we all feel much closer as a city. Funny how that works. All because of a freakin' sign. Cloggin' up the scenery and messin' my mind!
