We always love it when red carpet events come around! It's so much fun to hit all the different suites. The most unusual is the StyleLab Suite held in a secret location (sssshhh!) Curated by stylist and jewelry expert Michael O'Connor, this suite is typically on every stylist's itinerary particularly because it's not the jewelry you have seen on everyone else. It's about having stellar jewelry that hasn't been seen before, brand new from a variety of designers! I managed to get into the suite before most anyone else to get a bead on what was there to loan to celebrities. The selection of dazzling and unique pieces from world-renowned brands such as Abellan New York, American Gem Trade Association, Bellarri, Dena Kemp, Edward Mirell, Jewelry by Gail, Just Jules, Mark Lash, Silver Promotion Service, and Takat, among others. Here’s the scoop on what celebrities and their stylists were eyeing for the Golden Globe Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards, and surrounding red carpet parties. Carrie Keagan (“Big Morning Buzz Live”) chose a pair of Zambian emerald earrings (31.38 carats) with diamonds (11.63 Carats) by Takat for the Critics’ Choice Awards. Keagan’s earrings are valued at $160,000. The Show’s gorgeous trophy models both selected linear drop earrings from Dena Kemp and Just Jules. One model opted for Dena Kemp’s earrings with over 48 carats of white diamonds. The other model sparkled in a pair of triple multi-colored diamond earrings surrounded by white diamonds from Just Jules, priced at $15,000. A pair of earrings from Abellan New York with over 21 carats of white and brown diamonds, emeralds, Mozambique garnets, and South Sea and Akoya golden pearls enamored Kathleen Robertson. Kate Flannery was excited to try on a pair of diamond and tanzanite earrings from Shaftel Diamond Co. for the American Gem Trade Association, worth $30,000. Sara Rue was a big fan of the Baggins pearl earrings from the American Gem Trade Association. The design featured Akoya pearls, white South Sea pearls, Tahitian pearls and diamond accents (2.42 carats), priced at $26,000. She also loved the diamond chandelier earrings from Mark Lash, set with 720 white diamonds, and priced at $36,800. Katrina Parker was obsessed with jewelry from Bellarri, especially a diamond, Mother of Pearl, and Rhodium necklace, valued at $9,595. Michael Steger immediately gravitated towards the “Chaos” bracelet from Edward Mirell, featuring black titanium and sterling silver accents topped with gray titanium H-links. Nikki Deloach couldn’t wait to try on the “Sugar and Champagne” platinum ring from Jewelry By Gail that included natural champagne, red and brown diamonds in a woven design, at a price of $58,000. Ashley Finke fancied the removable drop earrings from Thistle & Bee for the Silver Promotion Service, priced at $295. And, Antonio Cupo couldn’t stop admiring the diamond and blue topaz engraved cufflinks from Scott Kay for the Silver Promotion Service, worth $4,875. Several other designs featured in StyleLab’s Jewelry Event for the 70th Golden Globe Awards were selected for the 70th Golden Globe Awards red carpet and parties Michael O’Connor, leading style expert and host of MovieStyle with Michael O’Connor on Reelz Channel, Thank you to Michael O'Connor and Niki Ostin for all the time I got to spend at StyleLab!!
