Hello Darlings and welcome to part two of Episode 4 (Season 2) of Juuno’s Corner. We’ve got a lot going on here lately at JC, and are gearing up for an epic October! We’re getting ready to start our Juuno’s Corner October Extravaganza, which means I’m planning to release several podcasts a week during the whole month of October, each release will include a classic horror-type story and spooky music! I’m very excited, I hope you’ll enjoy it. Other than that, let’s see…I’ve just been recovering from sinus surgery which really kicked me in the face for longer than I expected..(feeling pretty good right now, though I have some damn head cold thing going on, but I’m pretty sure it’s non-sinus related..woot!) and playing Guild Wars 2, which I absolutely LOVE. Unfortunately, I admit this has put my Rift play on the back burner for the moment AND I’m totally behind on Rift Shinies, but I’ll get back to it as soon as possible, I’ve got to get back to playing because they are gearing up for their expansion, Storm Legion, http://stormlegion.riftgame.com/en/preorder/?gclid=CNnL4ebV2rICFaaDQgodZRAAzw which is dropping in November and I am uber excited about! Also, Mists of Pandaria is out and I’m excited to get back to a bit of World of Warcraft playing with my Mom, Pixiegirl… shoot, even Nerdenstein said he wants to play…and he’s never played any MMO EVER! Borderlands 2 http://www.borderlands2.com dropped also and the boys have been playing this, however, I haven’t had a chance to get in there yet. It looks just as good as the original Borderlands which we LOVED playing due to their awesome multiplayer and as most people know, I’m not a huge first-person shooter gamer, BUT Borderlands manages to combine FPS with role-playing elements that just make it a delicious game. I’ve also been producing some gaming news audio for the wonderful Matt Diox and his YouTube video channel… ( http://www.youtube.com/user/mattman522 ) I’m usually doing mine for the Tuesday news on the Mouse Pad, and he also has some great Let’s Plays on there as well. So October is always my busiest month in the RL also, as Vegas is just churning with events this month…we are going to the Las Vegas Comic Expo http://lasvegascomicexpo.com this weekend, then the Age of Chivalry Renaissance Festival http://www.lvrenfair.com next weekend, and about a gazillion Halloween-related events throughout the month. Plus, the Extra Life 24-hour Gaming Event http://www.extra-life.org is on Saturday, October 20th this year and I really want to participate in that again. AND All Things Edible http://ate.dawnforgeshows.com podcaster, Xandarr and his wife will be in town about the middle of the month! =D Oh, and be sure and wish Rigarmorty a happy birthday on October 7th! Woot! Happy early birthday, Rigs! We loves you! http://rigarmorty.blogspot.com Also, the band we’re featuring this episode is called Socionic and I really freaking dig them…just saying…they are really, really good and I was totally excited to find them over on Ariel Publicity. They’ve been compared to Tool, Alice in Chains, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones and Porcupine Tree. I’ll include links for them in the shownotes, and you can find their website at socionicband.com Ogre’s Perspective:

Music for this Episode is by Socionic (thank you, Ariel Publicity, for this amazing artist!) Socionic is really awesome…I freaking love their sound!
“Socionic is a project conceived of the fundamental need for artisc expression combined with the adeptness and appreciation for musical composition. Drawing inspiration from bands such as Tool, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains and the Deftones, the music emerges as a calculated release of passion and power blended with the diversity and detail of a crafted symphony. Achieving an elusive form of polar dichotomy, the sound seamlessly flows from brutal to beautiful, landing its genre bending classification somewhere between alternative, metal and rock. With the aid of acclaimed producer Rhys Rulber (Fear Factory, Frontline Assembly, Megadeth, Mudvayne, Delerium, Paradise Lost) Socionic has recorded and released their debut album, Identity, and continues to explore itself and the world surrounding through mediums aural, visual and abstract. Reflective of the diversity and contrast of the world in which we live, the art of the project is deep, dark and sometimes difficult.”
