It’s that time again. Time to celebrate the glitz, the glory. Time to find out who the best of the best is, in the 84th annual Academy Awards. But you don’t have to go it alone. This year, there is an app for the Oscars®.

ABC Digital has released the Oscars® app. Here, you can find out who is nominated, take a look at past Oscar moments and it’s rich history and tradition. Go on the Facebook link and make your picks of who is going to win. I am routing for Max Von Sydow.

Billy Crystal hosts this gala event. It’s his 9th time, which is 2nd behind Bob Hope, who hosted 18. You can even go backstage on the day of the event through the app and find out what’s going on behind the red carpet.

There are other Oscar apps you can get to enhance your  viewing enjoyment. E! Entertainment Live from the Red Carpet App is another companion to enjoy the event. Awards Hero: Oscars Edition is an app that let’s you try your hand at picking the winners. There is also Awards Guide: The Oscars® and Meet the Oscars®, along with many other movie trivia apps.

So get the popcorn ready, grab the Snuggie and get ready for the 84th Academy Awards in style. Now that you have your iPad armed with content, you should be able to find out the winners and be informed!
