  • C: I think having the Asian zephyrite in the front was a slight slap at players (like me) who want to go to Cantha and thought that the airships would be our best way of getting there :(
    
  • C: The zephyrites were attacked b/c they are/were housing Glint’s Baby, perhaps by the Sinister Triad (http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Sinister_Triad, Bandits (which have connections to the white mantle, who have connections to the last mursaat and more) , Inquest & Nightmare Court uniting in Brisban Wildlands, there’s a whole event cycle around it) who may be under Mordy’s influence.
    
  • A: Yup! many theorize that the Zephyrites are caring for Glint’s baby; with the inclusion of the inquest golem I think the inquest (through the triad — also is that like an evil opposite nod to Anet’s first name, Triforge? Will all Sinister Triadians have goatees? Oooh! Canach has a goatee! Canach is the ST leader!) are trying to further their studies of the dragons by getting one of their own.

  • A: Cal wondered aloud if Evon sabotaged the ships! I think that’s a really interesting theory! He could have wanted to get back at the zephyrites for the election and they’re trading success since he’s fallen so far since the last time they were in Lion’s Arch. • As Season 1 of the Living World was coming to a close and I became aware of the fate of Lion’s Arch, I knew that there would need to be some new music to reflect what the city had been through. The music that has been playing there since the launch of Guild Wars 2 was a mix of the lively and melancholy. It made sense for the city at the time, but I felt it would be out of place if you were standing in the middle of smoldering ruins. After some reflection, I decided to write something that would tell the entire story of Lion’s Arch, uniting the old city with the new.

Greetings fine and honorable pod casters,

Here are a few tips I’d recommend for new players to GW2.

Gather all the things. Gathering tools are your friend, the raw materials can be a great source of money or used to craft items. Also you get experience for doing it, as well it often times is part of the Daily.

Jump start leveling your alts through crafting. Since the collections and bank is shared for all characters and you that can deposit your crafting materials from anywhere, a fresh from the creation story character can sit at the starter town’s crafting station and craft the items your main character is gathering. Crafting can yield useful equipment/items as well as experience for the character crafting.

Break down non-useful light armor. Be it old soul-bound gear your light armor user outgrows or the stray light armor drops that are of no use to you, break them down using salvage kits. Cloth is used to make ALL the of the armor types and as such makes it scare and valuable. Even if your not going to be a crafter, often the cloth is more valuable than the sale price of the white, blue or green on the Trading post. It also doesn’t hurt that blue/green items offering magic find when salvaged.

And the last one I have

Personal story is a great source of experience, even when your level is much higher than the required level for it. Often when I reached a slow leveling point, I’d go back and pick up the personal story.

I tweeted you a question, but then realized I might not have been too clear about what I was asking.

Could you guys explain how to get weapon skins from the black lion chests? Specifically I want the Phoenix weapon skin. I read things about black lion vouchers and tatters, but it just doesn’t make sense to me. Do I need a specific tattered voucher? How do you get a Phoenix tattered voucher? Do you know of any easy ways of getting these skins?

Sorry to inundate you with a torrent of questions, but I’m just so lost and confused!

Hey there! No. YOU’RE terrific; this is a great question! When you use a key to open a Black Lion Chest there is a chance to get a Black Lion Claim Ticket Scrap or a Black Lion Claim Ticket. Scraps are much more likely to get, and the ticket is much more rare but I’ve known people (not me) to get the ticket. The Black Lion Claim Ticket is the currency for the skins sold by the Black Lion Weapons Specialist. The specialist can convert ten scraps into one ticket. Weapon skins cost either one, three, five, or seven tickets depending on the set.
