    • Low-Level Rotation—The four world events in this rotation will continue to activate 15 and 45 minutes past the hour, regardless of other rotations.
    • Standard Rotation—The six world events in this rotation will continue to activate on the hour and 30 minutes past the hour. This rotation is now independent of all other rotations. The TBD event slot has been removed.

      • 05:30 PST / 12:30 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm
      • 08:00 PST / 15:00 UTC – Karka Queen

      • 10:00 PST / 17:00 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm
      • 11:00 PST / 19:00 UTC – Karka Queen
      • 12:00 PST / 20:00 UTC – Tequatl
      • 13:00 PST / 21:00 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm

      • 18:00 PST / 01:00 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm
      • 19:00 PST / 02:00 UTC – Karka Queen
      • 20:00 PST / 03:00 UTC – Tequatl
      • 21:00 PST / 04:00 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm

      • 24:00 PST / 07:00 UTC – Tequatl
      • 01:00 PST / 08:00 UTC – Evolved Jungle Wurm

  • “Fixed an issue that caused Tequatl to fly away and never return if he burned too quickly during his vulnerable phase.†ouch.
  • Claw Island: Areas and points of interest, once they are discovered, will remain revealed when viewed from other maps.

    • A: So curious was this means moving forward.

  • Waypoints and markers visible on maps different from the player’s current map are now always displayed as uncontested. When teleporting to a waypoint on a different map, if that waypoint is contested in the destination map copy, the player will be redirected to the nearest uncontested waypoint.

  • All players who qualified for rewards from the Spring 2014 Tournament have been given 100 additional WvW Tournament Claim Tickets.

    • A: Man, I wish I had got my act together for this season!
    • C: Me too! Henge got Silver T.T

  • For two weeks, all Black Lion Chests will contain a guaranteed bonus Dragon Coffer. Black Lion Chest Keys are available in the Special category of the Gem Store for 125 gems each.
  • Dragon’s Jade weapons can now be purchased from Black Lion Weapons Specialists for the introductory price of 1 Black Lion Claim Ticket for the next four weeks. Black Lion Claim Tickets and Ticket Scraps can be found inside Black Lion Chests.

    • A: Dragon coffers? Jade weapons? Does that mean LW.S02 will start with Dragon Bash as Wooden Potatoes predicted?

  • Total Makeover Kits and Self-Style Hair Kits now have additional exclusive hair colors and eye colors. Kits can be found in the Services category of the Gem Store for 350 and 250 gems respectively.

  • Changes to the custom arenas: Starter Kits for 200g, Time tokens for 2g instead of 1600gems & 150gems.

  • A: I like this for a teaser leading in to S02 for sure, but the music! That is some pretty great, intense music.

Can’t Talk about season 1 without the biconics

http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/473/feature/8603/The-Biconic-Women-and-Man.html/

  • So why is it that the “original†heroes of the game, which were carefully plotted and planned for years, have been so quickly usurped in popularity by these newcomers? What went wrong with the old group or right with the new one?
  • Either you read the book, Edge of Destiny, or characters in the game told you about it. You never actually saw any of it; you only learned about it through text or secondhand retellings. So, right out of the gate, we’re expected to piece together this group’s complex history and be sympathetic to their plight. That’s hard when your means of experiencing that plight are limited.
  • Compare that to how the biconics were introduced. In every case, we knew nothing about them when they first appeared in the game. Every player was on equal footing with their knowledge about them, with no outside reading required … And none of them had done anything as remarkable as trying to take down an elder dragon, so we didn’t feel overwhelmed by them, like they were some great heroes and we should consider ourselves fortunate to bask in their glow.

    • A: This article really does a good job of breaking this down. I do like and care about the iconics of Destiny’s Edge, but I also read the book, so…

Title Goes Here

http://huntersinsight.wordpress.com/2014/06/17/blog-post-titler/

  • “There are many others I have a problem with as well, bland and unimaginative. The achievement track titles, respected achiever, acclaimed achiever, was anyone even trying? The Guild Wars achievement track for titles beats these over the head with a heavy moldy bag. Even just taking out the word “achiever†would have improved these titles ten fold. Respected. Acclaimed. Heralded. Three great titles.â€
  • “And each race has tons of terminology and ranks that would work well. They could be attained through a mix of methods. Perhaps if you have unlocked certain Seraph skins, participated in various centaur related meta events, completed Centaur Slayer, and map completed various human zones, you could be given titles related to human lore. Seraph Guard, Seraph Sergeant, or Militia Fighter. This can translate through to the other races as well, Peacemakers, Valiants, Wolfborn (sorta), and Adamant Guard. If I choose to help the Quaggan in personal story, I could be Little Barracuda, or if I help the Hylek, Champion of the Sun God. We could refer to our allegiances as well. Iron Legion, Commoner, Synergetics, Raven, Dusk, there’s a few possibilities that could be bestowed on us from character creation. There are also the orders and our rank within the orders. Magister of the Priory, Lightbringer, Warmaster, or Commander of the Pact. How are these not titles!?â€

    • A: I WANT TO BE A LITTLE BARRACUDA!!!!!!!

  • “First off we’re taking on dragon #2, so lets start with the most bad-ass title Guild Wars 2 could ever have. Dragon Slayer. My vision for that track would be incremental, awarding a new title after killing each dragon, maybe starting with Dragon’s Bane or Zhaitan’s Doom and finally ending with Dragon Slayer, or Savior of Tyria. Optimistic I’m sure.â€

Ask An Asura

Celeste’s Tip: Zone completion: DOOOO EEEEEEEET.

  • You can weigh the negatives very easily: it takes a fair amount of time, it can get boring and by the time you’re done you’ll likely have outleveled the gear that’s rewarded.
  • The positives however will end up being much more rewarding in the long term. You’ll be working towards world completion, which gives you a nifty star and title but it also is a major component in all legendary weapons. At the higher end you’ll be getting rare and exotic gear, which equals ectos, a very profitable exchange. You’ll also be getting crafting materials, black lion keys ( or transmutation charges), a ton of experience, and some coin as well.

Allona’s Tip (courtesy of Prof. Enzo): Trading Post Savvy

  • I noticed this on the TP the other day when I was selling some valuables.
  • Normally, if I’m selling something cheap (a few silver), I’ll just undercut the lowest seller by a couple copper and try to move the stuff quickly. In this case, I was selling a sigil that was worth a few gold. When you do this, it behooves you to search for the item and check all the sell orders on the main screen. In this case, this is what I saw:

    • 1 for 3g 57s
    • 1 for 5g 20s
    • 2 for 5g 37s

  • What’s probably happening is that someone is playing the market. They’re trying to get people to sell for cheap so they can buy them for 3g and relist them 5g and make a profit off people who don’t take the time to check. Don’t be that person.

    • A: Sort of related to this tip: It’s often a good idea to see if lowest seller is a massive undercut of an item. Before you decide to match or sell lower, check if there’s a gap by choosing ‘buy more from trading post’ first. Select the item to see a full list of sellers. If the lowest is 12s and the next lowest is 32s, maybe post yours for 31s? Worth a shot, right?
